Forgotten Youth is a passion project over a decade in the making. 
Established in 2014 by Patrizio Arpaia, a creative entrepreneur who got his start as the vocalist of a metal band. 
What began as creating merchandise led him to eventually step away from music altogether to achieve the dream of fully pursuing his own apparel & lifestyle brand. 
Two years into the creative process, Patrizio started experimenting with different graphics to capture the core essence of Forgotten Youth. This is when he landed on the image of a Blooming Rose. While reflecting on this image he found it to be a perfect mirror of life’s natural cycles. All life is in a constant state of blooming, becoming and growing, which eventually fades to begin again. A common belief shared amongst many cultures and civilizations spanning over time referring to this state as the “life/death/life” cycle. A stark yet beautiful reminder that everything is cyclical and is the best metaphor to where the brand stands today.
After 10 years of hard work, tireless devotion and blooming through life’s rhythms - it was time for a break. 
As FY entered this “death” cycle, a new vision began to emerge. This vision is rooted in the curious mind and ever evolving human experience. Having more fun experimenting with other creative forms of expression. Breathing new life into what was once dormant with vigor and enthusiasm. 
This new era is a chance for Forgotten Youth to evolve past being just a clothing brand and more of a way of being; a state of mind. Showcasing sustainable and ethical choices like using all natural fibers for all soft goods. Touching on other brand ethos like “finding myself elsewhere”, “a venture through the mind” and “lost in thought” with various forms of media using thrifted second hand equipment; adding to the candid and carefree quality reflected in the feeling the brand evokes.
Forgotten Youth would not be where it is today without all of the support throughout the years! We are thankful for those who have inquired during the hiatus and shared their mutual excitement for the brands return.
